Kiat Lim has maintained a relatively low physical presence since taking over as president of Valencia CF over a year ago. The son of Peter Lim assumed the role on March 3, 2025, succeeding Layhoon Chan, who had lived in the city for a period. Although his appointment was widely anticipated, it came two years after he promised greater involvement—a commitment that did not translate into his attendance at the following two General Shareholders’ Meetings, though he did appear at the 2025 meeting alongside Ron Gourlay.
According to the official statement at the time: “Kiat Lim, a board member of Valencia CF since 2022, takes on this new responsibility at a crucial moment for the organization. His appointment demonstrates a firm long-term commitment to the Club and reinforces the Club’s focus on stability and building a solid future project.”
Since that announcement, Kiat Lim has traveled to Valencia four times. Below is a breakdown of his visits.
All of Kiat Lim’s Visits to Valencia
March 2025: Inaugural Visit and Assumption of Office
His first trip came in early March 2025, coinciding with his appointment as president and the handover from Layhoon Chan. It was a brief stay to formally assume the role.
July 2025: Sporting Meetings and Visit to Paterna
He returned four months later in July 2025. During this visit, he held meetings with Ron Gourlay, Javier Solís, Miguel Ángel Corona, and Inma Ibáñez, toured the Paterna training ground, and inspected both Mestalla and the Nou Mestalla stadium.
December 2025: General Shareholders’ Meeting
The third trip occurred in December 2025, coinciding with the club’s General Shareholders’ Meeting. It marked his third presence in the city since becoming president, and he was accompanied by Ron Gourlay during the event.
March 2026: Meetings and Nou Mestalla Oversight
His fourth visit took place from March 23 to 25, 2026. He spent two days in Valencia, meeting with Carlos Corberán and Ron Gourlay, visiting Paterna, and checking on the progress of the Nou Mestalla construction.
He is expected to return to the city in the coming days for a new round of meetings, following Valencia CF’s almost mathematically confirmed survival in LaLiga.
