Chelsea manager Enzo Maresca (46) has addressed speculation linking him with the Manchester City job, telling the press he feels prepared for whatever comes next.
Reports have intensified in recent days that Pep Guardiola, 55, could leave Manchester City this summer, ending a decade-long tenure at the Etihad. Multiple outlets claim Maresca, formerly of Chelsea, is City’s preferred replacement should Guardiola depart.
Speaking on his future, Maresca stated: “I feel ready for the next chapter—that’s the most important thing. The City job? What matters is being ready, regardless of the club. There are still a few weeks left in the season, and then we’ll see what happens.”
It has been reported that one of the main reasons Maresca left Chelsea was that he had already held talks with City about taking charge of the team.
