The Tampa Bay Buccaneers made two roster moves on Saturday, signing Nebraska linebacker Javin Wright as an undrafted free agent. With this addition, the team now has 15 undrafted rookies on its roster. To make room, the Buccaneers waived first-year running back Michael Wiley with a non-football injury designation.
Wright played 46 games over six seasons at Nebraska. He moved into the starting lineup as a senior and led the team with 86 tackles and nine tackles for loss. He also recorded three sacks, one interception, and four passes defensed in 12 games (10 starts). Overall, Wright made 13 career starts for the Cornhuskers, finishing with 180 tackles, 12 tackles for loss, 3.5 sacks, and three interceptions.
Wiley initially joined the Buccaneers last October, spending the second half of the season on the practice squad before signing a futures contract in January. He played college football at Arizona and originally entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with the Washington Commanders in 2024.
